Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2006, from 2:00 9:00 p.m. Charles was born to John and Hanna Belle Davis on July 1, 1929 in Fellows, CA. He spent his childhood growing up in Belridge and graduated from Taft High in 1947. He went to work for Standard Oil (Chevron) in 1948. Married his sweetheart (Thelma) Jean Cook, May 21, 1949. He served with honor in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. After his tour of duty he continued his career at Chevron retiring after 39 years. Charles and Jean were blessed with two sons and a daughter. He was a devoted and loving father. His greatest joy was being there for all of their many activities. His favorite pastimes were fishing, camping and spending time at the family cabin in Camp Nelson, which he helped build with his father. He went on to share many happy memories in that cabin with his children and grandchildren. Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Jean, who he affectionately referred to as T.J. Also survived by son, Michael Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Gynnene Davis; daughter and son-in- law, Shevawn and Tom Sapp. Charles was blessed with 5 wonderful grandchildren and spouses, Mike and Lisa Davis, Nash and Pam Davis, Nikole and Justin Butler, Keleigh Sapp and Blake Sapp and four great-grandchildren. Charles is also survived by two sisters, Jeanne Kimberger and Patricia Springer. Pallbearers will be Mike Davis, Nash Davis, Justin Butler, Tom Sapp, Blake Sapp and John Kimberger. Honorary pallbearers are John Kimberger Sr., Nick Kimberger, Mark Springer, Kyle Springer, Joe Myers and Harry Beltran. The family wants to thank Dr. Vega, Dr. Lee and Dr. McCauley for the special care they have given Dad over the years and also to the ICU staff at Mercy Hospital for their compassion and care this past week. Charles was a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Papa. Dad, you may be gone from our lives but never forgotten in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
