Carmel Community Church in Glennville. John (Jack) C. Davison was born June 25, 1927 in San Jacinto, CA to Roy and Rowetta Davison. He grew up in San Jacinto before serving in the U.S. Army. In 1960 he married the love of his life, Jane McHan. They joined into a cattle ranching partnership with his father-in-law Engle Williams and later owned and operated the J.F. Williams ranch. He loved to hunt in the mountains and fish in the ocean and he enjoyed riding horseback in the Greenhorn Mountains with his family and friends. He was a Master Mason and was a past Master of Masonic Lodge #688. He was also past commander of the Greenhorn Mountain Veterans Association, member of the Linns Valley Poso Flat School Board, past president and member of the Kern County Cattlemans Association and a member of Elberon Christian church. He is survived by his wife Jane; daughter Carol Williams, son-in-law Ross, grandson Scott; son David Davison, daughter-in-law Angie, grandson Mitch, granddaughter Madison; son John C. Davison, Jr., wife Iva, and grandsons Christopher and Dylan; sister Betty Schrader-Weymes as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would prefer that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Elberon Christian Church, P.O. Box 492, Woody, CA 93287; or to the Kern County Cattlemans Association Scholarship fund at P.O. Box 81436, Bakersfield, CA 93380. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital for all of their care and compassion.
