She passed away at the home of her daughter, Ventura, on September 18, 2005. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., at the Hopson Mortuary Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment immediately following at Union Cemetery. Edubiges came to the United States with her husband, Celso, in 1920. They settled in Bakersfield with their five children in 1930. Five additional children were born in Bakersfield, which was her home until 1996, when she moved to Northridge. She and Celso had been married 59 years when he passed away in 1979. Edubiges was preceded in death by one daughter, Delfina Romero of Santa Fe Springs, CA; one son, Arthur DeAnda of Glendale, CA and three grandsons, Armando, Steven and Rovaun DeAnda. She is survived by 8 children, all of California: Beatrice Aguirre of Stockton, Luis of Los Angeles, William of Bakersfield, Ventura Klein of Northridge, Natividad of Sonora, Jess of Fontana, Clarence of Whittier, and Raul of Alhambra. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was proud of the fact that all her sons served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Her son, Louis, served in WWII as a Lt. and Flying Ace. She was a gentle and loving mother and grandmother.
