Ruth Osborn 
July 27, 1916 - Sept. 25, 2005 

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday, September 30, 2005, 
at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3700 River Blvd. Graveside service will be held on 
Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. Ruth grew up with her ten siblings on 
the family farm in Viola, *AK (*AR). She met and married Ralph Osborn while 
working for the Central Bell Telephone Co. Ruth and her husband owned and 
operated a furniture store in Ava, MO. After the death of her husband, Ruth 
moved to Bakersfield to be with her favorite sister, Dale Thompson. Ruth was 
preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Osborn. She leaves to mourn her 
passing, her loving sister, Dale Thompson of Bakersfield; brother, Harold and 
wife, Betty Deatherage of Washington; nephews, Max and wife, Libbie Mahan, Jim 
and wife, Joyce Mahan of Bakersfield; Wayne and Cody Foster; niece, Linda and 
husband, Jim Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many other nieces and 
nephews. She will also be missed by her good friend and traveling companion, 
Mickey Mawson. Ruth was a beautiful sister and aunt who will be greatly missed 
by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the loving staff at 
Beverly Manor for their care and kindness.
