Gilberto DeAvila 
Nov. 14, 1930 - Dec. 6, 2005 

Service will be on Friday, December 9, 2005, 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest 
Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. The graveside service is on Saturday, 
December 10th, 10:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Gilberto 
DeAvila went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Gilberto was 
born on November 14, 1930 in Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico. He was 75 years old 
and lived in Kern County for fifty-five years. Gilberto was preceded in death 
by his wife, Maria Elena DeAvila; his son, Arturo DeAvila; his parents, 
Francisco and Paula DeAvila; his brothers, Salome DeAvila, Armando DeAvila; 
and sisters, Maximina Escalera, Eustolia Rodriguez. He is survived by his 
younger sister, Carmela Gonzalez DeAvila; his children, Yolanda and Gabriel 
Hernandez, Rosa and Frank Gandara, Rodrigo DeAvila and Frances, Jose DeAvila 
and Donna, Patricica and Eddie Garcia, Carol and Mike Gutierrez, Gilberto Jr. 
and Shellie DeAvila; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Precious in 
the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints. Visitation will begin Friday 
from 3-9 p.m.
