Sylvia Marie Dennen 
Feb. 4, 1924 - Jan. 9, 2006 


Born February 4, 1924, Sylvia passed peacefully from this world January 9, 
2006 at her home where she was surrounded by her family, in light and love. 
She met the love of her life, Richard Dennen, at a Taft - Bakersfield High 
School football game at age 17. Married in August 1945, they raised three 
daughters and shared a wonderful life together for nearly 49 years, until his 
passing in 1990. Sylvia is survived by her children Stacy Dennen, Lori Dennen-
King, and Kelly Austin; sons-in-law Casey Austin, Benjamin King, and Robert 
Uyemura; and grandsons Christopher and Aaron Austin. A memorial will be held 
January 17, 2006, at 1:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield. This 
will be a celebration of Sylvia's life and a time of remembrance and sharing. 
In lieu of flowers please send donations in memory of Sylvia M. Dennen to:

93308.
