Gloria Devora 
Sept. 26, 1949 - Sept. 9, 2005 

Funeral services for Gloria Devora will be held at Believer's In Jesus Church 
(600 Planz Road) on Thursday morning, September 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. 
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Pastor Sonny Varela will 
officiate. Gloria was born in Bakersfield, California on September 26, 1949 
and she passed away on September 9, 2005 with her loving family by her side. 
Gloria was preceded in death by her niece, Lena Cisneros and nephew, John 
Matthew Varela. She is survived by her son, Alexander Devora; daughters, 
Victoria Cerda, Irene and Marlene Devora; parents, Frank and Rosa Devora; 
sisters, Susan, Mary Lou, Ruth, Frances, Vickie, Lydia, Vidalia and Diane; 
brother, Pete Devora; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild as well as 
numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Our mother was a 
wise woman who loved the Lord and knew He was the only way that anyone could 
truly be happy. The advice she gave was powerful and priceless. She enjoyed 
arts and crafts but loved cooking for her family. She was a woman of great 
strength and was admired by those who knew her. She will always be loved and 
missed but never forgotten. For additional service or floral delivery
