Vertis Dean Dorsey 
Dec. 14, 1951 - Dec. 7, 2005 

Chapel service for Vertis Dean Dorsey Sr., 53, will be held at Jesse E. Cooley 
Jr. Funeral Service, 1100 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, California, on 
Wednesday, December 14, 2005, 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Union 
Cemetery, 730 Potomac Ave., Bakersfield, CA. Also a dinner to celebrate the 
life of Mr. Dorsey will be held at The Elks Lodge, 1414 E. California Ave., 
Bakersfield, CA, immediately after the interment. Visitation will be held 
today from 12 p.m. 7 p.m. A quiet hour will be held tonight from 6 p.m. 7 p.m. 
in the Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Chapel. Dean will be remembered for his hard work 
and generous nature. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation 
for your thoughts and prayers. May God Bless you.
