Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary. John was born in Ukiah, CA and lived in various cities throughout California. He was a Navy seaman in World War II and a Merchant Marine. John traveled the world over and never met a person he didnt like. He took his Navy experience as a cook and became a wonderful chef for many fine restaurants. John was a union representative for Local 550 for Ventura and Bakersfield, where he retired. John was a member of the AHEPA Organization and was very proud of his Greek heritage. He was an avid reader and enjoyed family get-togethers The more the merrier. John was preceded in death by his father, Arthur and stepmother, Lucille Dukellis and his mother, Sadie Teason; brother, Jessie Dukellis and daughter, Pearl Stine and son, Jim Waters. John is survived by his wife of 50 years Rebecca; son, William E. Dukellis of Torrance; daughter, Diane and son-in-law, Ricardo Canales of Flitridge; Vickie and son-in-law, Adam Carvalho of Bakersfield; Sherri and Guy Flasch of Ojai; brothers, Arthur and wife, Margaret, Nicholas and wife, Eleanore, Jerome and wife, Sharon Teason; sister, Caroline Innis and 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his many very special in-laws of Los Angeles County. A very special thank you to his grandson, John B. Knight for his help and love. Our Family wishes to express our sincere gratitude for all the wonderful care given by the staff at Emmanuel Real Convalescent Hospital and the caring support given by Hoffmann Hospice.
