William J. Dayton
1928 2005

William J. Dayton, 76, died of natural causes May 11, 2005 in Santa Maria, CA. 

He is survived by his daughters, Sharol Stang and Billie Wollam. 

Bills favorite memories were breaking colts and working cattle on the Cholame 
(Jack) Ranch in the late 40s and later jackpot roping in Mariposa and 
Bakersfield. He spent many enjoyable years in East Bakersfield with his ex-
wife, Sharon and their daughters boarding and renting horses and ponies. His 
last years were spent in Santa Maria, with his daughter Billie Jan where he 
enjoyed team penning and riding his mule, Jill.

In respect of his wishes Bill will be cremated and no memorial services are 
planned at this time.
