Betty Lou Wakefield
June 11, 1923 - April 13, 2005

Betty was born in Butte, Montana to Anna and Herbert Demmons on June 11, 1923. 
She graduated from Taft Union High School, Class of 1941 and Lufkins Business 
College and worked for Richfield Oil Company and Occidental Petroleum 
Corporation. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Wakefield and her brother, Robert 
Demmons. Betty is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Robert 
Dowrick, Tracy and Sheldon Pratt, daughter-in-law, Kerri Wakefield and 
grandchildren, Lauren and James Wakefield and Brittan, Jacob and Joseph Pratt.

Her daughters would like to thank Ken and Rita Knoben and the staff of The 
Hallmark at Bakersfield Assisted Living Residential Care Community for the 
loving care given to Betty while she lived there.

At her request no services will be held but donations in memory of Betty 
Wakefield can be made to The Hallmark at Bakersfield, 2001 Akers Road, 
Bakersfield, CA 93309 or Hoffman Hospice, 5300 California Ave., Suite 1, 
Bakersfield, CA 93309.
