Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. Pastor Jack Wallace will officiate. Carmens life began 78 years ago in Bakersfield, CA. She was the youngest of three children and shared a close relationship with her brother Ray and two sisters, Jesusita and Mary. She attended Kern High School, where shortly after, she married Louis Lomas and started a family of her own. For years to come her happiness was centered around raising her children and enjoying the role of wife and mother. She held a special love for all her children and carried a close relationship with her two sons Ruben and Ralph and only daughter Jane. Not a day went by in her life where she wasnt on the phone enjoying a chatty conversation with her Janie. She was kindly referred to as Nanas by her loving husband Joe with whom she shared a marriage for the last 30 years. Carmen is greatly loved by her 13 grandchildren because she constantly fed them her homemade tortillas, spoiled them with gifts, spanked them when they were bad, and prayed for them to be good. On April 12, 2005, she courageously surrendered to her life-long battle with diabetes and went home to be with her heavenly Father. We love you so much and you will greatly be missed. Carmen was preceded in death by her son, Ruben. She is survived by her husband, Joe DeSigio; daughter and son-in-law, Jane M. and Larry Galindo; son, Ralph Lomas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister, Jesusita Alvarado. A special thanks to Dr. Tommy Lee, Dr. Sam Ratnayake, Dr. Saiki and the Bakersfield Dialysis nurses and staff. The Time Is Now If you are ever going to love me, Love me now, while I can know The sweet and tender feelings Which from true affection flow. Love me now While I am living.
