Jose Lopez DeSigio (Joe) 
August 27, 1930 - June 25, 2005 

Visitation for Jose Joe Lopez DeSigio will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles St.) on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 
graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Friday, July 1, 2005 
at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Wallace will officiate. Joe was born August 27, 1930 
to Encarnodel and Conception DeSigio in McFarland, California, and he passed 
away on June 25, 2005 in Bakersfield, CA. Joe was preceded in death by his 
wife of 31 years, Carmen Lomas DeSigio; sister, Lucy Hernandez; and brothers, 
Julio and Tony DeSigio; and he is survived by 2 stepchildren; Jane and Larry 
Galindo and Ralph Lomas; 10 step-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, 
Margaret and Leonard Fuentes; sister, Victoria Gastelo; and numerous other 
family members. Joe was a long-time resident of Kern County. He was a painter 
by trade, but by night he was a chef. He loved to cook, especially for family. 
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Carmen who preceded in death on April 
12, 2005. He stood by Carmen faithfully during her illness and always took 
very good care of her. He loved the grandchildren and was always very 
supportive of them and their needs. He was loved by all that knew him and he
