Lynn Dira was born on April 30, 1988, in South Lake Tahoe, California, to very proud parents, Mr. and Mrs. Estanislao and Lydia Dira. The youngest among the four siblings with brothers, Neil and Bernard and sister, Charina. As a child she loved to dance, play kitchen (pots and pans), grew up with Power Rangers, Spice Girls and Scooby Doo characters. She also loved playing basketball with dad and brothers and skateboarding. A very intense reader even at a young age. Her parents fondly remember at age five the first word she spelled was America. As a student, she was well liked and respected by her peers. Affectionately being called the therapist by her friends and confidant by her ability to give advice to some of their problems. A typical teenager, she liked watching movies like Spy, Charlies Angels and Aliens. Very eager of getting her driving privileges. Always enjoyed the Kern County Fair ride, zipper. An active participant in school activities, one of her best friends fondly remembers how she eagerly participated in decorating the homecoming float and dashing for some ice cream afterwards. Her energy was limitless, forming and becoming a band member called the 3 A.M. Band where she played the guitar. Her life might be short lived but her memories will last forever. She will be remembered as the best daughter by mom and dad and ever smiling sister by brothers, Neal and Bernard. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, chaplain and staff members and other support groups from Mercy Hospital, Childrens Hospital in Madera and UCLA Medical Center. Visitation begins Thursday, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. Greenlawn Mortuary Funeral Directors Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 8/10/2005.
