Lucretia M. Rains 
February 2, 1940 - May 27, 2005 

Memorial services will be held June 10, 2005, 3:00 p.m., at Park Kingsburg 
Retirement Home, in Kingsburg, CA, for Lucretia Rains who passed away in 
Kingsburg, on May 27, 2005, after a lengthy illness. Lucretia was born, raised 
and attended schools in Tehachapi, California. She was a graduate of Tehachapi 
High School, Class of 1958, and attended Bakersfield Junior College. In high 
school, she was extensively involved in Rainbow Girls and achieved the highest 
office in that organization being crowned as Grand Worthy Advisor for the 
State of California. She had the opportunity to live in Stuttgart, Germany for 
two years and travel extensively in Europe. She supported and participated in 
the activities of the Fresno Gymnastics Club for many years. She was preceded 
in death by her parents, William and Lacean Dougan of Bakersfield and her 
longtime companion, Otis Roland of Fresno. She is survived by two daughters, 
Necia Schuil of Kingsburg, Shauna Garrett of Clovis; brother, William Billy 
Dougan of Bakersfield and six grandchildren.
