Thomas Alexander Edmondson 
Oct. 15, 1938 - Sept. 19, 2005 

Thomas Alexander Edmondson, of Volcano, California, died in Las Vegas, Nevada, 
on September 19, 2005, at the home of his fiancée. Born in Bakersfield on 
October 15, 1938, to W. Porter Edmondson and Jeanne Marie Abadie Edmondson, 
Tom attended Bakersfield schools and received his Bachelor of Science and 
Masters Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Petroleum 
Engineering. Tom loved to travel, and his career with Chevron and Aramco took 
him from California to Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Indonesia and Scotland. He 
traveled extensively in many parts of the world. He had deep interests from 
collecting stamps and coins, to exploring genealogy, and he enjoyed many hours 
on the internet pursuing his hobbies. He was predeceased by his younger 
brother, Frank. He is survived by siblings, John (and Janis) Edmondson, George 
(and Glenna) Edmondson, and Virginia Edmondson (and Bob) Lawson; one niece, 
numerous nephews; daughter, Vivian Edmondson (and Rocky) Hui; 3 grandchildren, 
Jennifer Hui, Nicole Hui and Zachary Hui; 3 great-grandchildren, Noah Hui, 
Gabrel Lomelin and Maikayla Moon; and by his loving companion, Yock Hua Lee, 
whom he was to marry on September 20, 2005. The graveside services, under the 
direction of Doughty-Calhoun-OMeara were held Saturday, September 24, 2005, at 
Union Cemetery.
