Betty Jean Holliday 
March 24, 1939 - October 3, 2005 

A service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2005, 1:00 p.m., at Pointdexter-
Hall-McClure Mortuary, 210 NE 5th St., Washington, Indiana for Betty Jean 
Holliday, who passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2005, in 
Washington, Indiana where she had resided for the last 15 years. Betty Jean 
Holliday was born March 24, 1939 in Glen Allen, Mississippi to J.O. and Elma 
Edwards. She was the sixth of seven children. In 1956 she married Joseph 
Holliday and together they raised four children. Betty enjoyed life laughing 
and meeting for coffee with friends and family. Her hobbies included 
crocheting, knitting, shopping and dancing. Betty is survived by her ex-
husband and friend, Joseph Holliday Sr.; and her four loving children, Joe 
Holliday and wife, Karen, Barbara Foster, Sam Holliday and wife, Tina, and 
Jonathan Holliday 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
