Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m., at Doughty-Calhoun-OMeara Funeral Home, followed immediately by graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 26, 2005. Mrs. Eng was born in Toi San China on March 7, 1927 and emigrated in 1948 to the United States with her husband, Daniel Seah Poy Eng, who preceded her in death in 1971. They settled in Bakersfield where they raised their 5 children. Their children are Marian; Ken, his wife, Adrian, their children, Scott and Sarah, and grand-children, Ian and Mia; Curtis, his wife, Odette and their children, Brian and Emily; Stanley and Jennie. Mrs. Eng is also survived by her loving siblings, brother, Wah Chim Yan and his wife, Wai Kau, Long Island, New York; her sisters, Mrs. Kam Chu Wong and Mrs. So Chu Ng both in Boston. Mrs. Eng also has several other close family members on both the East and west coasts, as well as numerous local relatives and friends. Mrs. Engs passion was gardening, raising her Chinese vegetables. She enjoyed cooking and visits from her two grandchildren, Brian and Emily. Mrs. Eng, a loving mother and wife, will be missed by all who knew her, especially her sons and daughters. May she rest in peace.
