Jesus Melero Esparza

Aug. 17, 1919 — Nov. 11, 2005

Jesus Esparza, a long-time Tehachapi resident, passed away peacefully while 
surrounded by his family at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. He always had a 
ready smile and offered a helping hand to all. He will be greatly missed by 
his family.

Viewing will be held at Wood Family Funeral Service on Monday, Nov. 14, from 1 
to 5 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Malachy Catholic Church. Mass 
of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at St. Malachy 
Catholic Church.

He is survived by his lovely wife Bernarda; daughter Mary and son-in-law 
Brooks Escherich; daughter Coni and son-in-law Don Rodriguez; grandchildren 
Jesica and Matt Fager; son Jesse and daughter-in-law Diana; grandchildren 
Natalie and Anthony Esparza; sister Maria Galendo of Sacramento; as well as 
many nephews and nieces.

Interment will follow at Tehachapi Public Cemetery Westside. Wood Family 
Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
