Robert Monroe Evans 
Jan. 16, 1962 - Dec. 22, 2005 

Robert was born in Columbus, Ohio, moved to California in 1964 with parents 
Carl Evans deceased, mother Barbara Jackson lived in Montebello for seven 
years then family moved to Salton Sea area where he loved to play in the 
desert with brother Rick Evans moved to Bakersfield in 1973 where he attended 
Frank West, Noble, Washington Jr. High and Bakersfield High. While at 
Washington Robert and his friend Matt Thompson won all Kern county in running 
and went to L.A. for The Jr. Olympics, they didnt place but we were still so 
proud of them. Robert was a welder and the best there was, his addiction to 
alcohol kept him from achieving his goals. Through Teen Challenge and Jasons 
Retreat he found he had a knack for speaking about the Lord and alcoholism and 
spoke at many A.A. meetings. He went to be with the Lord Dec. 22, 2005 he 
leaves behind mother Barbara Jackson, sister Julia McKay, nieces Fanisha, 
Shalin, Tierza, Rikki Lee, Hannah and nephew Darren. A celebration of life 
will be held Jan. 7th 10am-3pm, at Hart Park, friends and family welcome.
