Esther Viona Edmonston

Graveside services for Esther Viona Edmonston will be held at Hillcrest 
Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. 

Esther was called to Heaven by our Eternal and Loving Father on March 4, 2005. 
She has gone to join her husband, Henry Hayward Eddie and daughter, Sherida 
Ann. Born November 15, 1923 in Malvern, Arkansas, it can be said her life was 
never boring. From Arkansas to California in her youth, she went to work 
building ships during WWII, where she met dad and they were married two weeks 
later and remained so for over 50 years. As a family we moved to Louisiana 
(dads home state) and later back to California. Mom was in banking in 
Bakersfield, she never failed to make new friends and raise a few smiles. 
After retiring, mom and dad moved back to Louisiana, living on the Bayou, Mr. 
Eddie and Miss Esther were loved and admired by all that knew them, young and 
old. After dads death in 1994, mom returned to Bakersfield and resumed old 
friendships. She will be missed and loved forever.

She is survived by two children, Cynthia Lynn (Robins) and Darryl Eugene, 5 
grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu 
of flowers, contributions may be made to a hospice service in your area. For
