William "Bill" Andrew English 
February 18, 1954 - March 31, 2005

Beloved husband of Kimberly English, loving father of Heather Mauro and Cain 
and Nathan English, and grandfather of Kelsey and Tyler Mauro. Bill left this 
world for a place of joy and peace on Thursday, March 31, 2005, after 
succumbing to a sudden onset of pneumonia. Bill is also survived by his 
sisters, Timmie Anne English and Jean Marie Barawed; and his brothers, Tom, 
Mark, and Rick English and Jerry, Phil, and Greg Santens. He has been joyously 
reunited with his parents, Tom and Yniv English; and stepmother, Georgianna 
English, who preceded him in death many years ago. 

Bill, a father who loved his children unconditionally, was known for his 
friendliness, sense of humor, musical talent as a trumpeter, and his love of 
birds. He will be missed immensely by all who loved him. As a teenager, Bill 
played trumpet solos with the California State High School Honor Band and the 
National Honor Band at Carnegie Hall and the White House. His love of music 
was an integral part of his spirit throughout his entire life. Bill spent the 
majority of his adult life working at Meadows Field and was well liked by all 
who knew and worked with him. A viewing will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 
p.m., Wednesday, April 6, at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Avenue, 
Bakersfield, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Donations may be made in 
Bills name to the American Lung Association.
