Cruz Munoz Florez 
May 3, 1926 - January 2, 2006 

Visitation begins Sunday, January 8, 2006, from 3-9 p.m., at Hopson-Anspach, 
with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary said at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 
will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Monday, January 9, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. 
Father Chirayath Chummar will officiate. Interment to follow at Union 
Cemetery. Cruz Munoz Florez was born to Jose Maria and Raymonda Munoz in Del 
Rio, Texas, on May 3, 1926. He moved to Kern County 60 years ago after living 
in Juarez/El Paso, Texas. His 79 years on earth were very good to him. Cruz is 
remembered by his children as a loving father. Among his many hobbies were 
fishing, hunting, and gardening. Cruzs passion was his grandchildren. His 
appreciation for animals preceded him so much that his children humorously 
remember him at one time providing a home for 14 cats. Cruz is survived by his 
three children, Francisco, Julianna, and Jose; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany, 
Ericka, Sara, Amanda, Tina, and Alex and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded 
in death by his beloved wife, Constance Juliana Arias.
