Charles Dey Foss 
Services: Fri., Oct. 21, 1:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2005, 1:00 p.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., in Bakersfield. 
Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Charles Dey Foss passed away 
on October 15, 2005, at the age of 88, He was born January 16, 1917, in Salt 
Lake City, Utah. A World War II Veteran and longtime resident of Bakersfield, 
he spent over 35 years as a Petroleum Geologist, retiring from Getty Oil 
Company in Bakersfield in 1982. He loved traveling and the outdoors. Charles 
was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Lucy. He is survived by their 
children, Nancy Eckert and Sharon Koop; grandchildren, Joel and Michelle 
Eckert and Joshua and Caleb Koop and great-grandchild, Ethan Eckert.
