Charles G. Friend, M.D. 
Dec. 23, 1929 - Dec. 15, 2005 

Charles G. Friend, 75, passed away on Thursday December 15, 2005 in Ventura, 
California. Dr. Friend was born on December 23, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. Dr. 
Friend practiced General Medicine in Ventura, and then relocated to 
Bakersfield, where he practiced his profession as an anesthesiologist for 16 
years. His love for the ocean brought him back to Ventura where he retired in 
1982. His passions included hunting, fishing and flying his plane, which he 
had hangered at Santa Paula Airport. Dr. Friend is survived by his daughters: 
Deborah Friend of Carmel, California and Michele (husband Mark) Miller of Agua 
Dulce, California, and grandson Ryan Brower of Bakersfield, California. 
Graveside services will be on Thursday December 22, 2005 at 1:00p.m. at Santa 
Paula Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be 
made to Hospice of Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin 
Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula Street, Santa Paula, CA (805) 525-3391.
