Burchmore, 89, who passed away in Bakersfield, April 6, 2005. Rev. Monsignor Ronald Swett will be the celebrant and interment will be at San Fernando Mission Cemetery. Margaret D. Burchmore was born in Scranton, PA, as Margaret Fennessy and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Bartholomew W. Rochford of Omaha, NE, in March of 1917. She attended Mercy High School and Creighton University in Omaha, marrying Thomas W. Burchmore in 1938. They would reside in Omaha until 1955 when they moved their family to California. Prior to retirement she worked for Sears in the Hollywood store for 20 years. Margaret moved to Bakersfield in 1998. Margaret is survived by her sons, Thomas W. Burchmore and Michael Burchmore; daughters-in-law, Julie Burchmore and Mary Burchmore; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Thomas W., Heather, Matthew and Kimberly Burchmore, Angeline McNiff, Victoria Adams and Dawn Boxwell; great-grandchildren, Tara, Tess, and Aidan Burchmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas and daughter, Mary Adams. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the very special people who cared for our mother, Diane Hernandez and Jeannie Holst of Optimal Hospice, Carol Hadden at Continuim Care Management and Don Robertson and all the wonderful caregivers at Park View Julian. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Girls and Boys Town of Omaha, Nebraska.
