John Edward Finney 
October 5, 1943 - June 12, 2005 

John Finney was born in Booneville, Arkansas and has been a resident of Kern 
Co. for the past 57 years. He was an avid fan of Nascar racing and attended 
the races every Saturday night at Mesa Marin. Survivors include his loving 
wife of 40 years, Frieda (Ince) Finney, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and 
Stacey Finney, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and David Brantley. He was 
Papa John to 8 grandchildren, Kailey, Karlie, Brendon, Justin, Madison, Emma, 
Conner and Millie. Numerous family and friends. John was predeceased by his 
parents Noel and Dora Finney and mother and father-in-law, Rufus and 
Earnesteen Ince. Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Finney, David Brantley, Curtis 
Ince, Gene Ince, Don Finney and Ron Finney. Visitation begins today Wednesday, 
June 15th, at Mish Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held 
Thursday, June 16th, 10:00 a.m., at Mish Funeral Home with interment at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park.
