Sylvia Galyardt 
Dec. 26, 1914 - Nov. 13, 2005 

Sylvia Galyardt, 91, a long time resident of Kern County, passed away Sunday, 
November 13, 2005 at her daughters home in Ferndale, Washington. She was born 
December 26, 1914 in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was the mother of six children. She 
lived the last seven years with her loving daughter and son-in-law. Her last 
years were lived comfortably and relatively pain free. She was a caring, 
strong willed person that fought the sands of time as long as she could. She 
will be dearly missed. Her beloved husband, Fred Galyardt, sons, Wayne Leroy 
Patterson, Donald Dean Patterson, Dale Patterson and Daryl Patterson, preceded 
her in death. Surviving is her son, Dennis Patterson of Gardnerville, Nevada 
and daughter, Bernice Brannon of Ferndale, Washington. Private graveside 
services were held Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Greenlawn Cemetery in 
Bakersfield, California.
