Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Mom was born on November 9, 1922 in Bakersfield, CA to Eulerio Garcia and Petra Cervantes Garcia and she passed away on Friday afternoon September 23, 2005 in Bakersfield, CA with her family by her side. She was a Kern County resident all of her life. Mom worked for Casa Moore Furniture for many years. She was always a people person and she always enjoyed helping others. Mom is survived by her husband of 64 years, Mathew Perez Chavez; son and daughter-in-law,, Conrad and Linda Chavez; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Gallegos and Joe, and Carolina and Barney Jaime; 6 grandchildren, Tracy Carreno, Christine Grijalva, Stephanie Gonzales, Bernardo Jaime, Leonard Jaime, and Raymond Gallegos, Sr.; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Connie Gomez as well as numerous nieces nephews other relatives and many, many friends. The pallbearers will be Bernardo Jaime, Leonard Jaime, Raymond Gallegos, Sr., Anthony Espinoza, A.J. Gonzales and Raymond Gallegos, Jr. The family would like to thank all the staff at Gambro Dialysis Center, California Care Center and the many people that God sent to help our mother in her time of need. We thank God for our wonderful mother and may God bless all the people that were a comfort to our family. Mom was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed.
