Jimmy Ray Glass 
July 2, 1936 - October 18, 2005 

Jimmy was born on July 2, 1936 in Bakersfield, CA to Dallas and Mabel Glass. 
He was raised in Lamont and eventually joined the Local 12 where he worked for 
31 years, building highways, aqueducts and reservoirs in LA and Kern Counties. 
He also ran Old Joes Café with his loving wife of 20 years, Wanda. Jimmy is 
survived by his children, Karen and husband, Ronald Johnson, Jaqueline Glass, 
Edwin Glass, Diana Glass and Jamie and husband, Larry Ricola; stepchildren, 
Rodney and Charlotte Van Hoosen, Howard and Vicky Van Hoosen, Kevin and Tammy 
Van Hoosen and Regina Francis; siblings, Bobby and Simeon Kalua, Virginia 
Miatia, Zelita and Mike Abrao and Virgie Tabalock; sister-in-law, Kathy 
Stevens; 24 grandchildren and 37 great- grandchildren. Jimmy was preceded in 
death by his parents Dallas and Mabel; wife, Wanda; son, James; brothers, 
Raymond and Leonard; and sister, Ollie Morgan. Visitation will be held at 
Hopson-Anspach Mortuary in Lamont on Thursday from 3-9 p.m., and Friday 9:00 
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service conducted in the Hopson-Anspach Chapel 
beginning at 1:00 p.m. and interment to follow at Arvin Cemetery.
