Willie George Glover 
April 10, 1947 - Sept. 22, 2005 

Willie George Glover passed away peacefully on September 22, 2005 at his home 
in Bakersfield, He was 58. Willie was born April 10, 1947, to Ambrose and Mae 
Glover in Bakersfield and was a 1966 graduate of South High School. In 1967, 
Willie married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Brown. Willie spent his 
adult life working in agriculture as he believed working the soil brought him 
closer to God. Through the years he was employed by Kern County Equipment 
Company, Costa Farms and Sandhill Farms. Willie touched countless lives with 
his friendly, outgoing personality. Willie loved children and even after 
working long shifts on the farm, he would never be too tired to play. His 
smiling face was always uplifting and will always be remembered by those who 
knew him. Willie was one of God's greatest gifts and will be missed by all. 
Willie was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose. He is survived by his 
wife, Darlene; son, Donnie; mother, Mae Glover and aunt, Earlene Barbour; all 
of Bakersfield. He is also survived by his two brothers, Jack and wife, Yvonne 
of Corcoran, Jim and wife, Kathy of Bakersfield; brother-in-law; Jerry Brown 
and wife, Jean of Salina, Kansas; sister-in-laws; Delphine Burgess and her 
husband, Aubrey, Charlene Greenlea and her husband, Ruel; nephews and nieces, 
Rochelle, Jerry, Brian, Steven, Rebecca, Bryan, Russell, Jammie; Extended 
family and friends too numerous to list. In lieu of flowers, donations may be 
made to Children's Tumor Foundation or The Central Valley Epilepsy Support 
Group.
