Viewing and visitation will be held in the Delano Mortuary on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Wednesday at 9:a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a burial service on Friday at 1 p.m. Josephine had resided in Delano for more than 60 years. In her early years she was active in several labor related movements and received Federal recognition for her hard work. As a mother she shared the responsibility to support her family from field work to supervising Styrofoam box production. Through good times and bad, Josephine never lost her lust for life and her deep love for her family. Her unbreakable spirit was supported and nurtured by her strong religious faith and devotion to God. Josephine was preceded in death by her true love and partner, Guadalupe (Lupe) Gabaldon, her father and mother, Augustine and Deluvina, and her brothers, Eddie and Gilbert. Josephine is survived by her sisters, Vera Terro and Sally De La Rosa and her husband Sam; by her children, Andrew Gabaldon, his wife Barbara, and grandchildren Tara and Andrea; Bobbie Carrillo, and grandchildren Ramsey and wife Michelle, and Susie; George Gabaldon, his wife Selida, and grandchildren Joanne Padilla and husband Jonathon, Bettina and Elvira Martinez and husband Aaron; Lupe Black and granddaughter Jessica; Anthony Gabaldon, his wife Irma , and grandchildren Michael and wife Rita, Stephanie and Jacob. Josephine was blessed with 17 great-grandchildren which she cherished. She was a remarkable women, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
