Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Josefa Gayton. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe Martinez; son, Joe Martinez Jr.; daughter, Tommie Espinoza; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and George Monsibais; son and daughter- in-law, Artie and Sharon Martinez; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Bob Stinnett; son, Mark Martinez; daughter, Anita Martinez; son, Michael Martinez; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Corina Sierra; mother-in-law, Betty Mendoza as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Mom was a truly loving, giving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of all who met her and she showed her love through her wonderful hospitality, fabulous cooking and baking. She opened her home to everyone. Our mom loved to celebrate every occasion and enjoyed making the holidays special with all the food, music and festive decorations. She will be tremendously missed by all for her gentle spirit, her beautiful smile and laughter. We were truly blessed by God to have had such a beautiful mother and we look forward to the day when we are all together again in eternity. Pallbearers will be Joe Martinez Jr., Artie Martinez, Michael Martinez, Mark Martinez Jr., Martin Monsibais, Chris Espinoza Jr., George Monsibais and Adam Monsibais.
