A reception will follow at the Caledonia Masonic Temple, 718 Oregon Street. Jesse was born on July 17, 1954 to Ralph and Demesia Verdugo in Bakersfield, CA., where he resided his entire life except for the 4 years he attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Jesse was a 1972 graduate of Bakersfield High School. He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #12. He loved wearing different kinds of hats, Alabama Football, making people laugh, helping others, being with his family and most of all his daughters who were the light of his life and his two best accomplishments ever. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Verdugo. Jesse is survived by his mother, Demesia Verdugo; wife and best friend for the past 30 years, Deborah Kessinger-Verdugo; daughters, Vanessa and Bridgett Verdugo; brothers, Ralph Verdugo of Yorba Linda, CA, Refugio Verdugo and wife, Angie of Bakersfield; sister, Mary Rodriguez and husband, Bertin; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Alice Kessinger; in-laws, Mary Alice and John Means, Keith and Nicole Kessinger; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. We like to thank the following for their constant love and support: Dr. Philip Melendez and his family; Dr. Pankaj Shukla; Helen Provensal, Principal at Mt. Vernon School; Mr. Pat Ricards; Debora Farrell; Jo Gilliard; and many special friends to numerous to name. In lieu of flowers, Jesse would like you to take a loved one to Disneyland.
