Lee was born Aug. 26, 1958, in Oak Harbor, Wash. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley, attending Taft High School. Lee served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1984. Lee wanted to be a cowboy from a very early age. He worked as a gunsmith for 20 years, owning and operating his own shop, Brown's Guncraft, in the Tehachapi area for the past seven years. Lee was known as "Gun Doc" in the Single Action Shooting Society. He was a member of the "California Desperados," participating in many cowboy mounted shooting events. Lee was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1678. Lee is survived by his mother, Janet Goff of New York; step-mother, Elaine Brown of Woodland Hills; sons, Warren Brown and Jason Brown; sisters, Kristin Brown of New York and Kimberlee Ferrero and her husband Joe of Winnetka; two nephews and many other relatives. Interment took place in Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Eastside. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to the deceased.
