Theodore was born on Sept. 9, 1934, in Limon, Colo., to John and Dorothy Rodgers. At the age of 12, Theodore was sent to work on a ranch to help support his family. As an adult, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1962. Theodore married his wife of 42 years, Alberta Louise Luster, on Jan. 3, 1962, in Monte Vista, Colo. They performed their marriage sealing in the Los Angeles Mormon Temple on Jan. 6, 1991. Theodore’s favorite things were antique cars. He owned a Model A which he drove often in parades and enjoyed traveling on car tours with the car club. He was employed as a truck driver for 39 years. He was transferred to Taft with Koch Industries, a gasoline and oil company. After retirement 10 years later, he and his wife moved to Tehachapi. Theodore is survived by his wife, Alberta Rodgers of Tehachapi; sons, Tracy A. Rodgers and wife Joyce and Shon L. Rodgers and wife Jennifer, all of Bakersfield; daughters, Le Ana Deaton and husband Raymond and Debra Jo Saucedo and husband Rich, all of Colorado; grandchildren, Jill, Hayden, Storm, Willow, Ethan, Andrew and Ashland; brothers, Jim Rodgers and wife Vickie, Ed Rodgers, Bill Rodgers and wife Jeanne; sisters, Patricia Christiansen, Donna Goff and husband Alan, Jackie Britton, Barbara Scuck, Janice Stein and husband Norman; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Bishop Don Lange officiated at the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colo. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to the deceased.
