Rev. Bobby ONeal will officiate. Ben was born January 15, 1985 and his young life taken July 31, 2004 at the age of 19. He is survived by his father, Robert Hering; his mother, Jill Best; his brothers, Jesse, Jackson and Michael Hering; his sister, Catherine Best. His aunts, uncles and cousins include Gary, Michelle, Dustin, Daniel, John, Matthew, Phillip, Laura and Leslie Hering, Heather, Summer and Eric Kosinski and Terrie Best. Grandparents include Don and Stella Hering, Billy and Judy Best. Along with numerous family members, friends and the love of his life, Brittany Kerker. Ben was raised in Bakersfield and was a graduate of North High School. He was planning on attending Bakersfield College and was currently working at Papa Os on North Chester for his brother, Jesse. Ben was an avid reader and loved to draw. He enjoyed the beach and loved to camp, like most young men. He spent several summers with his cousin, Daniel at Jameson Ranch Camp. His favorite place to camp with his father and brother was Peppermint Creek. He had a passion for wrestling and was very proud of his school letters and numerous wrestling medals. Ben had many young friends that will miss him, including his best friends, Daniel Blake, Lucas Shonholtzer and his girlfriend, Brittany Kerker. We will all miss him and his special smile.
