Thomas Michael Wood
Services: Tues., Aug. 10, 9 a.m.

Thomas Michael Wood ended his journey on July 27, 2004, in Bakersfield, 
California. He was 40 years old. Tom was born in Akron, OH, on October 11, 
1963. He attended college in Alaska, then graduated Summa Cum Laude from the 
University of Northern Colorado in 1987. He worked for Prudential Insurance 
for several years before starting his own used tool business, which earned him 
the nickname Tommy Tool. 

Tom had an interesting and adventurous life, and was very proud of where he 
had been and what he had done. He had friends all over the world. His proudest 
accomplishment, however, was his children, and he was an amazing father to 
them. Tom was an honest and compassionate man, which made him everyones 
friend. He was always there to help in any way he could. He had an 
extraordinary wit, and was extremely intelligent. No matter how bad life 
became, he could always make you smile about it.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hildra Stark; father, Edward J. Wood; 
and brothers, Danny Stewart and Edward S. Wood. He is survived by his sons, 
Edward Joseph (E.J.) Wolber-Wood, Daniel Lewis Wolber-Wood; sister, Mary 
Craven of Florida; stepfather, Lew Stark; sisters, Sandy Moore, Lana Kamm, 
Lisa Davis; and brother, Jimmy Stewart, all of Ohio; many aunts, uncles, 
nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Mass to honor his life will be held at St. Francis Church, 900 H 
St., on Tuesday, August 10, at 9:00 a.m. For more information, please call
