Dorothy Marybelle Hill

Services: Tues. Aug. 10 at 9am 

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
Tuesday, August 10 at 9:00 a.m.

Dorothy was born in Austin, Texas and graduated from Elgin High School and 
Austin School of Business. She moved to California in 1942 and later met and 
married Frederic C. Hill. They had one daughter, Karen.

Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper for over forty years for McMahns Furniture, 
McCart and Bultman, and William H. Davis Interiors. She is survived by her 
daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Don Hargis; grandson, Brian Hargis and 
wife, Jill; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew, Katherine and Matthew; 
granddaughter, Lisa Apple and husband, Scott, and great grandson, Evan. She 
leaves her precious nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and many 
wonderful friends.

She was a member of Community House and a charter member of the Cal State 60+ 
Club. She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge, but most of all her family. 
She will be dearly missed. No visitation is scheduled.
