Jose Daniel Chavez was born on December 31, 1998. He was a gift to Jose and Janet Chavez. Danny, as he was known by those close to him, was full of character and pride. He was funny, energetic, very cheerful, and above all, an amazing little boy who touched everyones heart. He was a loving brother to Joshua, Javier Alexander, and Linda Chavez and he shared five years and seven months in joy and happiness with his family and many friends. Danny loved spending time with his grandpa Lolo. They enjoyed playing the guitar, X box, soccer, and fireball. Danny dreamed of one day becoming a police officer. He spent many hours riding his scooter and playing with toys of his favorite character Spiderman. Danny also enjoyed playing and caring for his little Chihuahua named Rosie. During his struggle with Leukemia, Danny demonstrated the true meaning of bravery. He charmed all of his doctors and even in his darkest moments he brought joy to those around him. Danny is survived by his parents, Jose and Janet Chavez; brothers, Joshua and Javier Alex Chavez; sister, Linda Chavez; maternal grandparents, Eliseo and Aurelia Navarrete; paternal grandmother, Angela Chavez; grandparents, Julio and Luisa Ariztoy and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Danny will always be remembered by his glowing smile. During his short stay, Danny touched many lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dannys memory, to Kaiser Permanente Hospital c/o Pediatrics, 4867 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, Ca 90027. Donations will be used to purchase toys for the childrens playroom. (Please Make Checks Payable to Kaiser Permanente Playroom. Attention: Courtney - 7th floor).
