"Bill" Malm 10/23/1941 8/15/2004 Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, at 10:00 a.m., at Hopson- Anspach Mortuary, 620 Oregon Street. Bill was born in Taft to Ethel and Waler Malm. After graduating from Taft High School, he began work in the oil industry which continued unitl his retirement. One of Bills passions was building race car motors and watching the races at Mesa Marin and Bakersfield Speedway. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed seeing the local boys succeed. When not in his shop, he could often be found on the golf course. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Barbara; his daughter, Lori; his son, Chad and his wife, Lori and three grandchildren; brother, Edward and wife, Phyllis; sister-in-law, Leta; brother-in-law, Bill and his wife, Ellen; and his mother-in-law, Audrey Lay. He had wonderful friends who shared his race car hobby and his love of sports. His cat and dog will miss his lap. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honor to the local diabetic association or a charity of your choice.
