Geri Gilbreth
Services: Sat., Aug. 21, 9:30 a.m.

Geri Gilbreth, beloved wife, mother, and friend died quietly August 17, 2004 
in Boise, Idaho after a short battle with lung cancer. A graveside service 
will be held Saturday, August 21, 2004, at 9:30 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest 
Mortuary, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA. 

Geri was born February 25, 1942, in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Willard 
and Evelyn Pounds. She attended Bakersfield elementary schools, Bakersfield 
High School and received her AA degree in Accounting from Bakersfield College. 
Geri married Robert Gilbreth on September 8, 1962 at the Presbyterian Church 
and was happily married for 42 years.

Geri loved to go shopping with her daughter, enjoyed outings to the coast and 
spending time with her friends and family. She will be missed by all those 
that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gilbreth of Bakersfield, CA; her 
daughter, Sonja Johnson of Boise, Idaho and her son-in-law, Walter Johnson; 
her brother, Stan Pounds of Inyokern, CA; and loving aunts, uncles, nephews 
and nieces. Geri was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Willard 
Pounds of Bakersfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Cancer 
Institute, Building 31, Room 11A16, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892.
