Dale Earl Downing
Services: Fri., Aug. 20, 1:30 p.m.

Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., Friday, 
August 20th at 1:30 p.m. for Dale Earl Downing, 69, of Bakersfield, who passed 
away August 17, 2004 in a Bakersfield hospital. Interment will follow in 
Greenlawn Memorial Park. 

Mr. Downing was born September 6, 1934 in Wichita, Kansas and had been a 
resident of Bakersfield for 48 years. He was a General Manager at KISCO for 35 
years, and an avid golfer who enjoyed sports very much. He liked car racing, 
NASCAR and Indy, and enjoyed Classic Cars and Hot Rods.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sherry Downing of 
Bakersfield; daughters, Sheryl Parmelee of Kernville and Kari Downing of 
Modesto; grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacey and Shaniee Downing and Sarah 
Parmelee; sister, Joyce Butcher and husband, Mike of Bakersfield and brother, 
Les Downing and wife, Helen of Tulare.

He had a wonderful personality and was a great friend and father who was 
always very generous. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Visitation will be today from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary.
