Eunice was born November 11, 1908, in Ruleville, Mississippi, where she remained until her high school graduation. In 1927, she began attending Business College in St. Louis, Missouri. During World War II she relocated to Bakersfield, California, where she married Morris Blaser and raised her family. Eunice had a passion for playing the piano and organ, and was President of the Kern County Hammondaires Organ Society in 1968-69. Eunice was predeceased by her husband, Morris; mother, Alma Thatcher; sisters, Myrlee Heyn and Thelma Johnson; brothers, Ernest Johnson, Charlie Hammond and Lynn Hammond, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Blaser; son, George Blaser and wife, Gale; grand-daughters, Christine Blaser, Wendy Jarrett and Tawni Baker; and a great-grandson, Elias. Eunice was a loving mother and grandmother whose never-ending thoughtfulness and compassion will be deeply missed. She is our sweet angel who will live forever in our hearts.
