Funeral services will be held on August 24, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest 
Memorial Park. 

Catherine was born on December 2, 1931, in Murray Cross, Alabama, and went to 
be with her Lord on August 18, 2004, in Bakersfield, CA.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh Mills; parents, Freeman 
and Mae Lay. She is survived by her loving daughters, JoAnn Bridges and Dean 
Gaasch; loving sons, Jack Goss and Terry Mills; sisters, Bonnie White, Mattie 
Acrey and Shirley Line; brother, Jack Lay; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-
grandchildren.
