Patsy Joyce Quary
Services: Wed. Aug 25th 10:00am

Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., 
Wednesday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. for Patsy Joyce Quary, 73, of 
Bakersfield, who passed away August 19, 2004 in Bakersfield. Pastor John 
Maroney will officiate. 

Mrs. Quary was born December 8, 1931 in Gruver, Texas. She was a teenager when 
she moved to Buttonwillow with her parents and siblings. It was there that she 
met her sweetheart and husband, Guy Quary, who passed away February 22, 2003.

Patsy was a very determined, energetic spirit. She had an unlimited passion 
for life, never giving up even in her darkest times as her body was attacked 
by different illnesses in the last 10 years. She had a very generous and 
sacrificial soul, and was very protective of those she loved. She accepted 
everyone she met as a friend. Her beautiful smile lightened up a room and her 
laughter could fill it, especially when her great grandchildren were around. 
Her ability to carry on with her head held high through numerous trials will 
always inspire those who knew her; her courage and fortitude remained 
consistent until the very end.

Patsy leaves her family to join her husband, Guy Quary, and her beloved 
poodle, Sissy. She leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss 
her dearly; her daughter, Joyce and husband Nelson; son Larry and wife Donna; 
grandchildren, John and wife Rhonda, Patty and husband Shane, Shawnna and 
husband Phil, Lori and Steven; and nine great grandchildren.

Mom, you are truly loved and we will carry you in our hearts forever! Thank 
you for the loving, generous heart, and the wisdom you gave us.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patsys memory to the American 
Cancer Society, 1523 California Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93304. Visitation will 
begin Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary
