Graveside to follow at Bardsdale Cemetery. Rev. Bob Hammond officiating. Margery MacPherson was born May 8, 1918 in Ruyard, Montana and passed away August 18, 2004 in Hollister, California. Margery MacPherson Hammond came to Ventura in 1926, where her family owned MacPhersons Grocery Stores, on the Avenue, and on Loma Linda. After graduating from Ventura High, Mom and her twin sister, Margaret, went to Woodbury Business College. She worked for RKO Studios as a secretary, and worked as a secretary in the District Office of the Richland School District in Shafter for a number of years. She was a past member of CSEA, Past President of the Kern Schools Secretarial Association, Fillmore Ebell, Eastern Star, Sunday School Teacher, St. Marks in Shafter, Trinity Church, in Fillmore, and at the time of her death a member of St. Augustines Anglican Church, in Hollister. Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years H. Reg Hammond; son, Reginald G. Hammond; and sisters, Margaret Beekman and Dorothy Case. She is survived by her son, The Reverend Bob Hammond and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Commander Michael J. Hammond, USN and wife, Pam and their children, Sean, Kyle, Jacob and Rachel, Thomas Hammond, Richard Hammond, Michael R. Hammond, Elizabeth Hammond, Laura Hammond and Matthew Hammond; brother-in-law, D. Murray Hammond and his wife, Muriel; sisters-in-law, Helen Biggers and her husband, Walt, Ruth Hammond and Eleanor Hammond; many nieces and nephews including Ventura county residents, Jim Beekman, Anne Burson, Susan Dollar, Pat Clapp, Ruth Hammond, Wallace Hammond, and wonderful, faithful friends, Jerry and Linda Edmonds. Margery was truly a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and fellow Christian. Memorial contributions may be made to Anglican Mission, Fillmore, in care of, St. Augustines Anglican Church, P.O.
