Graveside services for John Hernandez Duran, Sr. will be held at Greenlawn 
Southwest Cemetery on Thursday, August 26, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. 

John Duran, Sr. was born on December 12, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA and he passed 
away on August 22, 2004 in Bakersfield. John is survived by his daughter and 
son-in-law, Roselle and Epifanio Moreno, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny 
and Kayla Duran, Jr.; son, Alfred Duran; son, Daniel Duran; son and daughter-
in-law, David and Donna Reyes, Jr.; and numerous grand-children, great-
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

My Last Goodbye

As my brother, Manuel, passed on, I have been thinking why I never had a 
chance to say Goodbye to any of my family before they passed away, or to my 
other brothers and sisters either. They wouldnt let me know until they were 
gone (That Hurts) because I wouldnt have a chance to see them while they were 
alive. (Thats Sad) So, thats the reason I am leaving this note. So I can say 
Goodbye to all my family in case I dont survive long enough to say it in my 
own words Goodbye sons, daughter, grandkids, nieces, nephews, godsons, 
goddaughters, all their families and my friends too. God bless all of you, 
Adios. One thing I appreciate of this life is that I had a good family whom I 
love, like a father should. If there really is reincarnation, I would love to 
have the same family once again.
