She lost her mother at an early age and was raised by her father and stepmother, Dottie Hinds. Tammy graduated from Omega High School in 1984 and obtained a Registered Dental Assistant certificate from San Joaquin Business College. Her true joy however was working with children at North Beardsley School. Tammy was a care free spirit who loved children, family, friends and animals. Greg and Tammy shared 15 happy years together and there was no doubt that her world revolved around her 10 year old twin daughters, Hallee and Allee. Every holiday and celebration was made special with her loving thoughts and energy. Whether it was barrel racing, snow skiing, softball, volleyball, camping or fishing, she generated enjoyment for everyone involved and made sure there was plenty of good food and LOVE. She loved her romance novels, relished crossword puzzles, adored roses and wrote poetry almost every day. Her friends remember how she would drop everything to help them without a second thought. Tammy was a member of the Valley Baptist Church and was so thankful to the Lord for her blessings. She is survived by her loving husband, Greg McCright; her daughters, Hallee and Allee; her mother, Dottie Hinds; her in-laws, Jerry and Ann McCright; her brothers and sisters, Bill Lewis of Santiago Chile, Iona (Sissy) Muskrat of Bakersfield, Paul Hinds of The Woodlands, Texas, Jeannie Conner of Bakersfield and Billy Lawson of Moses Lake Washington and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2004, 4-8 p.m., at Mish Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 26, at 10 a.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery (3700 River Blvd.). Pastor Phil Neighbors and Roger Spradlin will be officiating. In lieu of flowers a trust fund for the two daughters has been arranged by the Beardsley School District (393-8550).
