Carmen was a Tehachapi resident for 55 years and resided in Bakersfield for the last 20 years. Carmen was a very talented seamstress, artist, and good friend to many. Carmen had many special friends at the Bakersfield Senior Center and enjoyed many outings with her friends. Carmen will be remembered by most everyone for her sense of style in her dress and appearance. She loved wearing hats which she would decorate for that special touch. Hawaii held a special place in Carmens heart. She visited the Islands several times and continued to hold those memories close to her heart. Carmen loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was a very faithful Catholic. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Eusevio Acedo; and daughter, Carmen Iglesias. She leaves behind son, Daniel Acedo of Washington; granddaughter, Megan Acedo of Santa Barbara, CA. She also leaves behind her nieces, Alice Gonzales and her family; Eva Troxel and her family; many other great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends who were considered family. We would like to thank Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac who was kind and patient and always gave Carmen hope. Also, the family would like to thank the Manabat family of the E.J. Guest Home for the care and kindness they showed to Carmen during the last 3 months of her life. Aloha, Nina, until we meet again! Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
